1. Instructional Environment
: All projection screen assisted workshop instruction and all printable electronic handouts will be based on either Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS 6.

2. Prior Knowledge: The more knowledge you bring to class with you the better. I strongly recommend that you spend total 6 hours or more prior to taking the class learning your way around the software. Additionally, I recommend you work on several practice images so you have basic knowledge of how the the software works.

3. Software: Lightroom classes will be taught using Adobe Lightroom Version 4. Photoshop classes will be taught using Photoshop CS 6.

4. Software Versions: There will be differences between Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS 6 and earlier versions of each program. The instructor will only address features and processes available in Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS 6. Your instructor will not be addressing the many differences between Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS 6 and earlier versions of either program.

5. Update Your Software: Please be sure to use the Adobe update feature built into Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS 6 to update your current version of either program to include the most recent update. These updates are usually quite large, often 70 megabytes or greater. They can take considerable time to download and more time to install, and there can be glitches. Please do this well in advance of the workshop.

**NOTE 2:

It is VERY important that you work out any potential glitches well before coming to class. Please install and update your software and make sure the program opens properly so it is ready to use in class BEFORE coming to class. If you need technical assistance, please contact Adobe technical support or research your issue using Google, Bing or Yahoo! Search.

1. Hardware: You must bring your OWN Macintosh or Windows laptop and have Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS 6 already installed on the laptop.

2. Purchased Software Registration: If you have purchased Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS 6, please register it with Adobe BEFORE coming to class. You must be connected to the Internet to register Adobe application programs.

3. Trial Software Activation: If you are using a 30 day trial version of Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS 6, please open the program BEFORE coming to class, select the 30 day trial option and proceed to open the program so you can verify that you have access to the full program BEFORE coming to class.

4. Internet Access: The classroom will NOT have Internet access.

Your instructor will not have time for solving technical issues if Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS 6 will not open or function properly on your computer.
