On the Farm
America is studded with the beauty of barns old and new. Back east “Barn Sales” brought lost treasures to all comers. Barns house the cattle that bring us milk, butter and cheese. They protect tractors and life giving hay from the ravages of a hard winter.
Barns symbolize all the goodness and the strong work ethic that defines the American way. Barns are stoic sentinels of positive American values. The barn raisings of yesterday speak of the strength of community and the power of neighborly cooperation. Regardless of where we live, city, village or rural country lane our barns are indelibly us.
